Software
A lot of the software I use on a regular basis is free (either not having a price attached, or open source, whichever). I’m just making a list of things so I can have something to refer to.
- Mozilla Firefox + Adblock Plus
- Mozilla Thunderbird
- uTorrent
- iTunes
- Media Player Classic (Looks like old-style Windows Media Player, but with lots of nice options)
- ImgBurn
- CDBurnerXP (I just installed this recently, but it looks to be good)
- AVG Free
- FileZilla
- OpenOffice.org
- Picasa2
- DVDShrink
- DVDDecrypter
- AutoGK
And for some non-free software:
- WinRAR
- Broken X Disk Manager
- Quicken Cash Manager (Just noticed 2008 is finally out in Canada, I’ll have to update my copy of 2006)
Other than MSN Windows Live Messenger, that’s most of the software that I use other than games and supporting programs.
