		<description>&lt;p&gt;I was just focusing on GUI clients, really. But irssi isn't bad, as far as console clients go. I just find them more annoying for being in multiple channels (as in, more than a couple) and servers, though - so I don't use them as often. It's the client I use when I'm logged into my Linux box and connecting to a server.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Haven't heard of centericq though... sounds like some all-in-one "solution" - and those clients never seem to be very good for IRC, even if they are good for IM stuff. I'll take a look at it though.&lt;/p&gt;
